C-130s leaving Alaska - 517th C-130 Final Flight
A C-130 Hercules from the 517th Airlift Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, flies over the Alaska Range during its final flight March 23. After 43 years of continuous service in Alaska, the flight marked the end of the C-130 era at the 517th. Airmen at Elmendorf soon will see C-17 Globemaster IIIs taking over the airlift mission.
