Coast Guard cutter returns to shipyard
The Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma returned to its homeport at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Me., August 30 after a 63 day mission that took its crew from Virginia to the Caribbean. "It was a pretty quiet patrol," Chief Virginia Yoder with the U.S. Coast Guard said. The 270-foot medium endurance cutter spent the first three weeks of July in Little Creek, Va. conducting Tailored Annual Cutter Training and then six weeks conducting law enforcement patrol in the Eastern and Central Caribbean.
