My good friend Paul Marsh passes along the following regarding the old INMARSAT Space Shuttle Mission TAL analog voice support nets – they are no longer used.
Paul writes: "There are still emails circulating about NASA's use of Inmarsat for TAL site support during launches - they have moved to a SIP based IP system, and as such are no longer easy to monitor. I took a listen during the past two launches, and sure enough, not any hint of analog NASA comms via Inmarsat."
So it looks like the only remaining net to monitor is on UHF Milsat (as noted on 261.575 MHz in an earlier post today).
