The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) operates off the coast of Port-au-Prince. Carl Vinson is supporting Operation Unified Response along with the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), the amphibious dock landing ships USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) and USS Carter Hall (LSD 50).
