RED FLAG: Refueling the Raptor
Two U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, fly behind a KC-135 Stratotanker from Kadena Air Base, Japan, over the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex during RED FLAG-Alaska 13-3 Aug. 14, 2013. The F-22 is a twin-engine fighter aircraft designed primarily for air superiority, but also has ground attack and electronic warfare capabilities.
