WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) by Robert Gebo - The 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield will be performing some scramble exercises on Wednesday, March 2nd. Major Matthew Mutti told 22NEWS that the 104th Fighter Wing will be working within the areas of the Quabbin Reservoir and Berkshire East ski area in Charlemont. Major Mutti said the base's F-15's will be working with the civil air patrol to exercise their responses to aircraft flying in distress.

104th FW to Standup for Alert Duty
Ken on the Milcom newsgroup reported the following today:
"According to the 104th Fighter Wing's monthly publication Airscoop (October 2009), the unit will stand up an alert force by February 15, 2010 to support Operation Noble Eagle and Homeland Defense.
